MTN SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FAQ's

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING FAQs  BEFORE ASKING ANY QUESTION. IF YOU STILL HAVE ANY OTHER ISSUES YOU CAN ASK AFTER READING THIS.

HOW MANY SCHOLARSHIP TYPES ARE THERE?
There are 2 Scholarship schemes. MTNF Science and Technology Scholarship scheme and MTNF Scholarship scheme for blind student

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIPS?
Only students from public institution can apply.  blind students in 200 or 300 level students (300level for law students on) can apply  for the  MTNF Scholarship scheme for blind student . This also includes NCE2 & NCE3 and ND2& HND1 while students in 300level , NCE3 or HND1 studying the following courses ( or course closely related can apply) can apply for MTNF Science and Technology Scholarship scheme . The course are.

The minimum CGPA is 3.5,second class upper or upper credit  for science and Technology Scholarship and 2.5 (universities) or 2.0(polytechnic) for MTNF Scholarship for Blind students.

MY COURSE IS NOT LISTED CAN I APPLY FOR THE MTNF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME?
No, only courses listed can apply (or courses that  are closely related). Closely related courses are course that have similar course curriculum with any of the listed courses. Please note that ineligible course would not be shortlisted and would be disqualified.

MY LEVEL IS DIFFERENT CAN I APPLY?
NO. only 300 level students , NCE3 or HND1 ( 2016/2017 session)can apply for MTNF Science & Technology Scholarship while 200level, ND2 or NCE2  and 300level, HND1, NCE1 (300 level law students only )can apply for the blind ( 2016/2017 session). Every other level  is not eligible and would not be shortlisted for the scholarship.

WHY WAS MY ACCOUNT DELETED?
Our system detected that your application was not submitted after 3 days of starting the application process. You would have to re-register then re-apply .

MY ACCOUNT WAS NOT DELETED, HOW DO I KNOW I HAVE SUBMITTED?
Login to the portal here http://foundation.mtnonline.com/scholarship-scheme/login with your email and password. You would see a success message after login. The success message shows you have applied successfully.

I SEE AN ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO REGISTER “ EMAIL & NUMBER EXIST”?
This means you have registered already. You need to login and continue your application. Make sure you click the link sent to your email to verify your account if you have not done so. If you have clicked the link before, just  login.

I SEE AN ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO LOGIN “?
It means you have not registered or you have forgotten your password. If you see “email entered does not exist” it means you have not registered, click the “register now “ button  or click here http://foundation.mtnonline.com/scholarship-scheme/register . If you have a password error, click the Forgot your password? Or follow this link http://foundation.mtnonline.com/scholarship-scheme/forgotten

I CLICKED FORGOT PASSWORD AND SAW AND ERROR “ EMAIL ENTERED DON’T EXIST” . WHAT DO I DO?
It means you have not registed. Click register now or click here http://foundation.mtnonline.com/scholarship-scheme/register

I DON’T HAVE A DYA ( DIAMOND YELLO ACCOUNT) WHAT I DO ?
You don’t need a diamond yello account to apply. Leave it blank , fill other information especially asterisked information and apply.

WHAT ARE ASTERISKED INFORMATION?
These are Information that has a red star beside it. These are compulsory for the scholarship and must be filled. EVERY OTHER INFORMATION IS NOT COMPULSORY AND YOU DON’T HAVE TO FILL IT

MY COURSE OR FACULTY IS NOT LISTED WHAT DO I DO?
Click “others” and fill in your course or faculty.

WHAT CGPA SHOULD I USE?
Use your CGPA result for 2015/2016 session i.e the CGPA of your previous level. If you do not have a CGPA for you previous level/class it means you are not eligible for the scholarship.

I HAVE SUBMITTED MY APPLICATION AND WANT TO CHANGE SOMETHING IS THIS POSSIBLE?
No. this is why you have to confirm what you fill before you submit.

I DON’T HAVE AN MTN LINE CAN I APPLY.
Yes.

I HAVE ISSUES WITH UPLOADING PASSPORT.

you need to resize your passport to 600kb . If you don’t know how to do it, you would have to ask someone or go to a cybercafé so that they can assist you with it.

WHEN I CLICK APPLY IT TAKES ME BACK.

You have not filled a required field . please look through the form and make sure all asterisked fields are completed
